Potential Graduates

Attention Parents of Potential Graduates!

Woodroffe High School cordially invites you to attend Commencement Exercises on Friday, June 29th at 9:30 in the Auditorium to formally celebrate your son/daughter's graduation. We are asking that graduates arrive an hour prior to the ceremony.  Graduates will be presented with their diplomas and any other awards and/or certificates they have earned. Students should pay their $20.00 Commencement fee in the Main Office by Tuesday, June 19th, in order to attend, as graduation expenses including caps, gowns, refreshments and awards need to be ordered and arranged weeks in advance.  A reception for all graduates and their parents will be held in the cafeteria immediately following the Commencement ceremony.

Each student who pays their cap & gown fee will be given TWO (2) guest tickets for the ceremony. If students would like to bring more guests, they can request more tickets.  Ticket requests will be dealt with on a first come, first serve basis.  Students who request more tickets can expect to receive TWO (2) additional tickets depending on demand and other exceptional circumstances that may come up.

We understand that there may be a number of other activities associated with graduation, such as a dinner/dance, followed by after-grad activities.  As the administration and staff of Woodroffe High School, we wish to inform you that we will not be providing supervision or assuming responsibility or liability for the events planned, organized and managed by the student graduation committee. These activities are not sanctioned by the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board or the school; the responsibility for organization rests totally with the students.

We consider it our privilege to have served you and your graduate during their high school years and we look forward to seeing you on June 29th, 2018.

Yours sincerely,
Bill Arden
Principal
