If you are thinking about entering the work force upon completing High School, the following resources are highly recommended to help you with the transition.

The Ottawa Youth Employment Resource Centre– Resource room consisting of computers for public use, job postings, employer hiring fairs, career assessment, individual employment counselling, job placement services, and resume development – Youth Services Bureau; needajob.org

Millennium Learning Centres - Employment resource centre offering job finding tools such as job postings, interview workshops and resume development assistance. All the services are FREE of charge. This is an excellent place to begin exploring employment opportunities. Plus, links to community resource centres in the Ottawa area

Youth Services Canada - Are you between the ages of 18 and 24, out of school, unemployed and legally entitled to work in Canada? As part of a team of 10 to 20 participants, you can gain work experience while using and improving your personal and work related skills through service in your community and country

Human Resource Centre For Students- Helps with resumes, interviews and job search techniques; employment counselling, job bank kiosks, job board, computer and Internet access. The centre is located on 360 Laurier Ave. W., 3rd Floor, Ottawa, Ontario K1P 6P7

The Entrepreneurship Centre- The Entrepreneurship Centre is proud to be involved with various youth entrepreneurship programs. Their goal is to educate and assist young entrepreneurs in the area of business planning, and to promote entrepreneurship as a valid career option.
