School Council

All parents are invited to participate in school council meetings, to find out what's happening in education and to share opinions about it. So bring a coffee, and we'll see you at 7pm in the library on the last Tuesday of every month!

What can we do for you?

If you want to know more about what's going on at the school, the School Council meeting along with the school calendar is the best place to go. We are here to share what activities and learning opportunities are available.

What happens at the meetings?

The meetings are an informal get together. The Principal will report what is going on at the school. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the many activities, student learning initiatives and student groups at Woodroffe H.S. Information about high school concerns, ours and other schools, is presented from the OCASC representative. A teacher representative will also explain events at the school. Other parents are welcome to bring up any questions or concerns that may have. Often there are reports from our School Board Trustee, Student Council Leaders and our treasurer. Most meetings are around 2 hours.

You are welcome to come to one meeting or more.

Who we are

We are open to all parents and caregivers of students at Woodroffe H.S along with community members who support our students. Anyone is welcome to attend a meeting. There is no commitment required. People who come to the meeting generally want to learn about what's going on at the school.
